NEET Documents Required

The dates for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 counseling processes are set to be announced. The timetable will be made accessible on the official website — mcc.nic.in — once the counseling dates are published. 

Medical students should have their documentation ready before the counseling process begins. The following documents are required for MBBS candidates to participate in NEET UG 2023 counseling:

  • A valid government-issued picture identification card (Aadhaar, Passport, or Voter ID)
  • NEET UG 2023 mark sheet
  •  Class 10, 12 mark sheet
  • Admit card for NEET UG 2023
  • Certificate of Migration
  •  Certificate of Medical Fitness
  • Category certificate (if required), such as Caste, EWS, handicap, etc.

For the NRI students, here is the list of documents required for candidates to participate in the counseling:

  1. Valid passport
  2. Student visa
  3. Non-Objection Certificate issued by the Ambassador/ competent authority of the candidate’s country to permit them to keep and study in India
  4. Class 10th Marksheet
  5. Class 12th Marksheet
  6. Vaccination Certificate 
  7. Transfer Certificate
  8. Health Certificate
  9. Migration Certificate
  10. Passport-size color photographs of candidates (6 copies)

The timetable will be made accessible on the official website, mcc.nic.in, after the counselling dates are released.

Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently announced amended rules stating that scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be favoured. Previously, Biology was prioritised, followed by Chemistry, and finally Physics.

The Commission has also adopted a new tie-breaking policy, which is expected to go into effect early next year.
